Upcycled Shutter with My Favorite Knobs

Farmhouse Shutter with the Coolest Knobs

5ft long shutter
After partially painting over the peeling black paint, the colors now match the mirror I have hanging  in my mudroom.

Check out the "keyhole" knob in the center...my favorite!!

The knobs came from Hobby Lobby but I made sure to get them at their 50% sale otherwise, there would be about $90 in knobs on a shutter I paid $1 for!!

Mini Wooden Birdhouse

This JOY banner is for sale on My Etsy

This cute little wooden birdhouse is the one craft I was able to finish this season other than some candy and special recipes for gift giving. The cute little face below is the reason!!

She is a darling though!!

A New Adventure/Red,White & Blue Lay-Out

For this lay-out I chose to have an 8x10 picture and I wasn't too crazy with the way the design was turning out.  It  was tough for me as it really needed to be simple and tell the story. BUT, then I discovered the "boing" factor as the tiny metallic threads curled beautifully (and" boinged") haha :) when I pulled it from this braided trim.  It added the little extra flair I needed after trying to keep this page from looking too busy. I do love this picture of my girls with their best buddies!
(The extra embellishments will finish the lay-out on the opposite page as well as the rest of the title.."With our Best Buddies")

This is for the  "word challenge" over at "About a Girl" We are to use the word New somewhere on the page.

"anything goes". Keeping up with a few challenges really helps to get caught up with my scrapbooks. At least one page a month at this point is my goal!!

2 Cute

A little sanding, stitching, cutting out flowers and lots of layered chipboard, my girls have a few more fun memories in their book. The twins are their best buddies!

Lay-out with Doilies,Stamped Clay Embellishments for All Crafts Challenge, Dies Challenge/June Challenges

 This lay-out was created for
Scrap It Girl Use your Dies Challenge check out the goodies for the winner!

The flower on the lower right is layered scrunched up doilies sprayed and inked. I also folded them into triangles for additional embellishing within the other white flowers.
There are so many beautiful lay-outs within this blog...go check it out for some "Girly" inspiration!

I made the 3 black and gold squared from baking Perfect Pearls into polymer clay. The dies are the Sizzix branch and Bigz Lattice.

Here is a set of my little polymer clay squares stamped with  Pearled Powder and sealed.
These were really fun to make! It was a new challenge away from making my faux clay seals...a new way to work with clay

My Clay Embellishments are linked up to Elaine's party at:

Sunburst Lay-Out

To continue with the May challenges with  About A Girl I finally finished the SunBurst design.

Today I thought was last day for this challenge..but it's June already! But I love how it came out for my little animal lover.  I added the girly girl touches but I really wanted to reflect who she was at this age.
Check out the link for some beautiful end results and the tutorial on how to create this design. It's so easy, I actually go two pages done this week!

This layout has some cool crinkly mulberry paper, vellum pieces and Petaloo flowers.

"Little Ladies" Scrapbook Pages

The May challenge is to introduce the Little Ladies

in our life for the super About A Girl blog.

These are my beautiful girls. My lay-outs are for Sears pictures that you
never can say no to when you pick up your pictures and they made up extra sheets for you to purchase!
 Introducing:

  Isabella

(When I took this picture, it left a bit of shine from the protected sleeve)

Gabrielle

I used my Sizzix Flower Layers and Sizzlits Branch w/Leaves dies in the BigKick to create this page. The flowers are layered with some lace backing the largest flower.

I then dotted the Glossy Accents to adhere the Twinklets Diamond Dust to give sparkle to the flowers and some branches.
