Sunburst Lay-Out

To continue with the May challenges with  About A Girl I finally finished the SunBurst design.

Today I thought was last day for this challenge..but it's June already! But I love how it came out for my little animal lover.  I added the girly girl touches but I really wanted to reflect who she was at this age.
Check out the link for some beautiful end results and the tutorial on how to create this design. It's so easy, I actually go two pages done this week!

This layout has some cool crinkly mulberry paper, vellum pieces and Petaloo flowers.

"Little Ladies" Scrapbook Pages

The May challenge is to introduce the Little Ladies

in our life for the super About A Girl blog.

These are my beautiful girls. My lay-outs are for Sears pictures that you
never can say no to when you pick up your pictures and they made up extra sheets for you to purchase!
 Introducing:

  Isabella

(When I took this picture, it left a bit of shine from the protected sleeve)

Gabrielle

I used my Sizzix Flower Layers and Sizzlits Branch w/Leaves dies in the BigKick to create this page. The flowers are layered with some lace backing the largest flower.

I then dotted the Glossy Accents to adhere the Twinklets Diamond Dust to give sparkle to the flowers and some branches.

Psalm 139/8x8 Scrapbook Page

You Are Who You Are For A Reason
Is the theme of my 8x8 Faithbooks. One for each of my daughters.
The first page of each book is Psalm 139:13-16
The top is a decorative stamp cut out and I added a gem.

The flowers on this one are stamps that I cut out then added the gems with Glossy Accents. I covered the whole flower to give it a shimmer.
These pages are linked to the below two challenges. This weeks SpeedyTV challenge is to use stamps!

Winter Reminisce Scrapbook Pages

Winter Reminisce

Paper, Flowers and Paper Frames by Creative Memories

is my favorite design right now.  Especially with my handsome hubby and baby girls as the center.  The inked leaves/branches are a die cut from my Big Kick.

On the right side of the picture, I used my Zacto knife to cut around the design for an overlay. (and yes, mommy is a freak about helmets...they were posing for me :)!

Faithbook/Microscope Slide Tag/WOYWW

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday hosted by Julia

I am desperately trying to finish, or at least half finish, my second daughter's Faithbook by Easter Sunday!! My oldest daughter's is pretty much done.  This is my lovely stash of new paper I just bought from Joann's this week while wishing I had bought a particular paperpack from Creative Memories. These are beautiful though and will work for my special 8x8 album.

This project is also linked to this really fun party.

Here is the first lay-out after the Psalms page (the oval & flowers page on the desk picture)

I printed this small picture and covered it with a glass microscope slide then used UTEE around the edges for that "soldered" look.

 My
Faithbooking label shows the decorated Psalms page for my first book then scroll a bit to the Feb post which has the theme of the whole album for you.    Happy Easter!

Heritage Lay-Out/Faux "Sealing Wax" Seals

1925 Photo of Hubby's Great Great Grandmother

I scanned and printed the back of the picture postcard which had my husband's grandmother's handwriting.  I wanted it to be part of the lay-out.

Isn't this a great purse! I would love to have that today...from 1925.

Here is a close up of the clay seal I created in the flower center. I added the brad, painted and sprayed glimmer mist after baking.

I wanted to show you another way to use the clay seals. I created this pocket to add to a scrapbook lay-out. A sneaky way to add more pictures, journaling or memorabilia to a page.

Ways to use Your Faux Seals

There are so many Fun Ways to use your Faux Seals.

Below is a snowflake metal button inside a clay seal. I used UTEE and ink after baking the clay to compliment the button.

Use them in Scrapbooking and Cards!

Here is a portion of a scrapbook page with a starfish clay seal as part of the sea embellishments along inked cheesecloth.

Use them on envelopes! Above the brad holds the clay seal onto the flower and envelope.
Below, the seal helps hold the matchbook flap closed...this minibook holds wallet size pictures on a scrapbook page.

Or use them on all your favorite Papercrafts, Homemade Boxes or Altered Projects!

See My Etsy for several designs clay seals ready for your projects.
OR....DIY

Here is a picture of my latest batch after the baking process. They are ready to add back in the brad or button then paint, foil or ink.

Happy Crafting!!
