I am very excited, I finally painted and stamped this box. I have been using it for over a year for my scrapbooking paper and now it is finally as pretty as the paper inside it. I used K&Co. paper for the front strips and the top then used some great gemmed 3-D butterflies. The center of the flower is an old button...(I cut the back off). The key is a sticker I put on thick foam paper and cut around it for dimension.

Tag, I am It!
I'VE BEEN TAGGED...Here how it works:
1. Link to the person that tagged you and leave a comment on their blog, so that their readers can visit yours. Lynn tagged me!
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Share 7 Random facts about yourself on your blog.
4. Tag 7 random people at the bottom of your post, linking to their blog. Let each person know by leaving a comment on their blog. So, here are 7 random facts about me:
1. I live in a wonderful village in southern Maine with my husband of almost 14 yrs and two beautiful little girls.
2. I go to a Christian book group/Bible study weekly where there is childcare for my littlest one.
3. I met my husband on a blind date when I was almost 17 but we never hooked up again until I was 23.
4. I have a younger brother that I just adore, there is no one in your life like a sibling.
5. I started scrapbooking 5 yrs ago which just exploded my interest in creating all types of arts and crafts.
6. I can't get enough chocolate and peanut butter but flavored coffee is my worst "health" habit.
7. One of my closest friends here in town is Susan who is an artist, blogger, and has a book coming out this year.

Shrinky Dink Charms
I love my kids shrinky dink machine so when I saw an example of tiny charms, I really wanted to make my own version. They are inked with alcohol inks, stamped and hole punched before shrinking. Here is one charm in the corner of this page.
An example to how small they are. Cute!!!
I love this quote. It came to me when I was about to scrapbook this picture. Perfect timing.

Snowman Tag
After stamping snowflakes, I ran the tag over wet ink (sprayed with water) on craft paper. The stamped snowman then has some silver glitter and a metal snowflake.
I used glitter snow and diamond dust on the bottom left. The snowflakes have utee. The right tag is just a stamped image of the snowflakes but has diamond dust on the flakes and the snowman.
So here in Maine we are still getting snowstorms and cold temps. So here is a project I learned from the Tim Holtz blog. http://timholtz.typepad.com/my_weblog/12_tags_of_christmas_tag_2/index.html This is the link to his directions for making this great tag. Or go to my Tim Holtz link and click on tag #2 in the 12 tags of Christmas.
